SEW reports that Ask has reached a deal with Lycos to power their web and image search, zoom search and provide PPC ads for the Lycos Network.
According to comScore Networks, Ask.com became No. 4 search engine in US this September, beating AOL.
As AP reports: “[IAC/InterActive's] Search & Media division, which includes Ask.com, posted a 34 percent rise in revenue, as U.S. search queries rose 30 percent.”
It looks like the short-term marketing efforts are working, but what about the long-term? With Yahoo and Microsoft spending big bucks on tiny pieces of the pie, Ask is doomed to get the crumbs, at most. ![[]](http://www.searchmarketingstandard.com/wp-content/themes/sms/images/entry-end.gif)
