Great article! Thanks so much. Pretty much on par with what I expected, but always good to hear when you’re doing things right.

This session was the best session of Day 1 for SMX Advanced. They truly did talk about advanced techniques for link building.

  3. Todd, I think this was second to Matt’s session. While I felt it was great, it left me wondering how long of shelf life these techniques have along with wondering how many clients could utilize all of the ideas. I tried to boil down the ideas that would work for the masses.

I’m enjoying the recession session right now…

Hallie, I do agree that Matt’s session was very good and we need to keep in mind you do have to weight the risk you want to take in your link building techniques as Matt mentioned.

I could not be at the SMX Conference in Seattle and appreciate the post to keep somewhat up to date. I plan on following up on finding edu links which sound easier to get than I originally thought.

  6. Nice recap! Just wanted to offer a couple corrections/clarifications:
    1) It was Brian Klais not Chris Smith who wrote that post about Amazon.
    2) I was being tongue-in-cheek about conditional redirects, as evidenced by my placement of a smiley face next to the “Be like Amazon” bullet point. I wasn’t seriously proposing everyone run out and start implementing conditional redirects all over the place.

  7. Seriously good stuff, Hallie. Thank you,

    Rob
