I downloaded and started using Chrome a few weeks ago. I’ve found that I use it on my desktop where I do most of my work, almost none. But on my older, slower laptop where I do a good bit of surfing with the intention of reading online, I use it most often over Firefox and Internet Explorer. I even made it the default.
I haven’t really thought about why the difference, but you’re right about it being faster, and that could very well be the clincher for me. My personal time is valuable and I have no need for add-ons when I’m reading articles for fun.
Of course, if they ever get it spiffed up, then I might convert on my working computers too. We’ll see…
Google chrome is not that good. Sure it’s got some neat features, but the fact that Google owns it, it will *never* have the ability to block ads.
But as far as speed is concern, chrome is far more away then the other browsers.
