Google CEO, Eric Schmidt has joined Apple Computer’s board of directors, creating, what CNET calls, “a close tie between two of Silicon Valley’s most iconic companies”.
“Apple is one of the companies in the world that I most admire,” Schmidt said in a statement. “I’m really looking forward to working with Steve (Jobs) and Apple’s board to help with all of the amazing things Apple is doing.”
What should we make of this news? It is hard to say at this point but one thing is for sure, it will bring the two companies closer together.
